Spring Walk on the Emilie K. Hammond Wildflower Trail

Saturday, April 26, 10:30 a.m.

Lee Gaitskill and Sue Salsberg of the Rockaway Valley Garden Club look forward to leading a tour of the ephemeral spring flowers along the trail. They will discuss the history of the trail and the importance of native plants. We then take a leisurely stroll inside the deer exclosure.

Parking & Meetup

There are two parking options on lot McCaffrey Lane: the first, larger parking lot, and a smaller lot with 4 spaces right next to the trail entrance. We will meet at the trail entrance.

Please note that the Boonton entrance to the park is on McCaffrey Lane off Powerville Road. (the GPS app often sends visitors to the entrance off of Old Denville Road.)

The trail surface is a bit uneven, so appropriate footwear is recommended.

Registration required. Please reserve your spot here.
