Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π. Pi Day is observed on March 14 since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant digits of π. It was founded in 1988 by Larry Shaw. Celebrations often involve eating pie or holding pi recitation competitions.
We are celebrating International Pi Day with a special town-wide reader challenge for children and teens ages 6 to 18 in honor of the day.
Here’s how to participate: Read a book, write a review, and submit the review to the library before March 14, 2022. Everyone who presents a review will receive a certificate for a personal pizza kit created by Roma’s Pizzeria.
